Part 2

Violet gets Wild!


There were certain advantages to living above where you worked. Your commute was short, you didn't have to deal with traffic, you didn't have to wake up early, and you could hear when someone was breaking in. That last one was what woke Reggie up at four in the morning. He bolted out of bed, Gokai Pink Figuart falling into OOO Tatoba and off the shelf making him grunt angrily. "Whoever's down there better have insurance.." He grabbed his baseball bat and headed down in just boxers.. which was a mistake he realized when he turned on the light and caught Ai sneaking equipment into his basement. "Ai?!""Reggie-Sama?!" Blushing brightly Ai fainted right there on the floor, leaving Reggie confused and facepalming hard. "... Great."
Ai woke an hour later laying on the couch she'd brought down to the basement earlier in the evening. The soft beeps of her equipment made her feel better instantly.. Until she remembered why she fainted in the first place. "Reggie-San?" "I'm here." He was here staring at monitors showing their last fight. Displays showing their heart rate and vital signs. And another large screen showing everything as Data. "What is all this?"
She pushed herself up from the couch finally and walked over, arms folded against her stomach. "Everything. They might know where my old lab was so I moved it here.. From here I can monitor you both, and Will when he helps, and guide you to Data Corruption in the system.. city. In the city. " "Data Corruption?" "Hai. Data runs through everything. When Uirusu breaks through they corrupt it, they also corrupt Data already here. They could, for example, touch a car and turn it into a rampaging beast. They could touch a dog and make it a monster. You three are immune because of your belts. They serve to protect your Data."
Reggie thought he was understanding. But before he could try more the alarm from Ai's equipment began blaring through the once empty basement. She rushed for her hand scanner and frowned. "It's them.. Reggie-Sama, they are breaking through a neighborhood!" ".. Damn it, call Nathan! Henshin!" Becoming ModPhoenix, Reggie rushed up the stairs and burst outside where Ai stopped him with a hand on his arm. "Take this, Reggie-Sama! ModVendor!" Now, now he was dumbfounded. The Vending Machine beside his shop, which was always broken until now, folded in half to become a violet, black, and gold RideVendor! The only difference was the cowling in the front by the handlebars was shaped like a mechanical phoenix and there were wing motifs along the back. "Go, quickly!" Nodding, Reggie straddle the beast and roared on down the street almost in tears laughing. "Best Day Ever!"

As Reggie arrived he knew he was to late. He stepped away from his bike and frowned beneath the helmet he wore. Homes were still burning, looks like everyone made it out before the worst happened so that gave him some relief. "What the heck!?" From one of the buildings flew the monster in question, hurtling backwards helplessly.. And soon he'd know why. WAKE UP! DRAGBOOMER! The crimson streak burst from inside one of the houses and destroyed the beast in one shot. ".. He stopped him."
ModDragoon walked out from the flames, turned his head, and stared down Phoenix as one hand lifted to expertly catch his Boomer and hold it on his shoulder. "I made a decision. I'm doing this alone." Dragoon rushed him. Reggie barely had time to pull out his sword and block the strike with both of Dragoon's weapons before they hit. "What the hell, man?! We're on the same side!" "Seriously?" He roared and kicked off, both men skidding backward and preparing for the next attack. "You and that Idiot don't take this seriously. I'm going to stop this invasion without your help! You're not needed!"

"No!" Ai rushed out, climbing off her own ModVendor with a very nice heart theme, and rushed to stand between the men. Holding her arms wide as she faced Dragoon. "Please! You are to fight together and help people!" Snorting Dragoon whipped his Boomer towards her and rushed towards them both, both hands gripping his sword tight.

And the world slowed. Reggie saw the Boomer approaching Ai, his anger boiled, and he held his Driver tight with both hands. "DON'T YOU TOUCH HER!" Ripping open his Driver, the casings crashing to the ground in slow motion, he revealed three platinum medals surrounding the generator. MODPHO.. The Driver stopped speaking as the generator roared to life and the three medals began glowing brilliantly violet. MODPHOENIX ReBIRTH! The ModVendor roared into life. Rumbling towards Reggie as it split itself into pieces after ramping off a nearby car. The front and back wheel attached themselves to his shoulderblades, the wing exhausts rumbling to life creating pterodactyl wings made of violet light behind him. The fenders became taloned gauntlets and boots, the cowling shaped like the phoenix head split in half and attached to either shoulder. As the medal on his chest burned away revealing a gokai skull burning gold on his chest. And his helmet, the feathers burned away revealing long pterodactyl wings on either side. “Burn!”
Phoenix rushed forward and Dragoon was ready. He brought up his sword and continued blocking each and every one of Phoenix’s strikes, but barely. He was losing ground with every blow against the blade. “You don’t deserve your power!” Phoenix roared and kicked him back, punching his hand through the ground he ripped out his new weapon. The PhoeGabuRevolver! A larger version of the MedaGabRyu with three rotating chambers near the phoenix themed axe-head instead of one. “BURN AWAY!” Reggie locked it into blaster mode and reached behind him, filling each chamber with platinum medals like the one in his belt and charged for the last strike he’d need..

PHOENIX FINAL HISSATSU!

As he pulled the trigger though a blue streak appeared and pulled Dragoon out of harm’s way. Phoenix growled beneath his breath as he returned his weapon to the bigger axe mode, watching as ModShogun slowly stood laying the De-Henshin’d Will down beside Ai for safe keeping. “Sorry Bro, but you went to far. Ai, look after him.” “Traitor.. BURN!” Ai reached for Nathan’s belt then to get his attention. “It’s the Data, there’s to much and it’s ruining his mind! You have to stop him!” Nathan nodded and rolled out of the way as Reggie’s axe struck the ground where he was just standing. He skid back on his feet and when he stopped he pulled put something new. It was a clip attachment for his Driver! “Let’s see what this does!” Locking it on his belt the generator inside began spinning furiously as blue data swirled around him. That was when the symbol appeared on the new attachment, Stegoitchi’s symbol from Kyoryuger with a Lady Candelira Heart behind it. BECOME BRAVE! EPIC MODSHOGUN CARNIVAL! Reggie was rushed from behind, sending him rolling away as a robotic stegosaur appeared about the size of a small pony. Nathan leapt up, landing on it as the Stegosaur’s back opened down the middle. “I am so Dino Thunder right now! Roar, Stegalira!” The Stegosaur roared, it’s legs folding into it’s own body as thrusters started and it rushed Reggie again, and again, and again, each from a different direction sending him toppling one way then another. “BRAVE IN!” The battery popped from his belt, and once he caught it he slammed it into his StegoLazer and fired down at the Stegalira beneath him! The animal began to change. Opening itself up and locking onto his shoulders the entire mechanical Stegosaur unfolded into a gold, blue, black, and silver Kachidoki Arms and snapped perfectly into place. His helmet changed. The headcrest widened as stego spikes formed along the sides. And more down along his arms leading his new weapon! The StegoLazer became bigger, now a two handed rifle with a Candelira heart against the outer side and stego spikes in three rows along the top. Behind him attached two new flags. Black with pink Candelira Hearts and Gold Stegoitchi symbols! And his final weapon. A long staff with Lady Candelira’s heart at one end in gold.
He landed and shouldered his weapon. “EPIC SHOGUN CARNIVAL!” Reggie roared in his frustration and rushed him head-on, Nathan pulled his weapon him and turned the heart dial on the side facing him for rapid fire and unleashed it’s power on Reggie. He slowly stepped back, holding his arms up to blocking the shots from hitting his body or face. But he was slowly backing up from the sheer amount of them. “I have to end this quick before he hurts himself.. Sorry about this, Reggie! BRAVE IN!” He popped out the battery, slamming it in again making the weapon begin charging powerful energy near the barrel!

STEGOITCHI! LADY CANDELIRA! FINAL BRAVE VICTORY!

The blast unleashed and struck Phoenix right in the stomach, flying him backward against a nearby building as Shogun held fast.. The explosion rocked through the district. But when it was over Reggie was human again and unconscious on the ground. Nathan huffed and shouldered his weapon again. “Keep Smiling..” But he to fell to his knees, his armor and weapons evaporating in gold energy before he collapsed on the ground.

When Nathan awoke he was in Reggie’s basement, what was now Ai’s new lab, and held his head. “Ow...” He slowly sat up and blinked his eyes back into focus. Reggie was inside some sort of tube with wires and tubes hooked to his body, Will was sitting on a chair.. pouting.. Nathan guessed. And Allie was bringing him some tea. .. Wait a second.. “Allie?! What the Gosei?!” She folded her arms once Will took it. “How do you think you got here? What? Did you think you could become a superhero and me not notice?”
Oh he huffed. “.. I guess not. How’s Reggie, Ai?” She frowned and took off her glasses before answering. “He will heal, but he won’t be able to fight for a few days.” And then Nathan turned his attention towards Will. “Alright then, an explanation why you went batshit on us would be nice. Because with Reggie hurt, and you almost hurting Ai, I’m really struggling to figure out why I shouldn’t punt your ass.” Allie glared and Nathan shrugged. But Will.. he answered. “It is private.” And he tried to stand, but Allie being Allie just shoved him right back down and glared. “.. Tell him now or I am, William.” Nathan rose an eyebrow. “I’d listen to her. You don’t know what she’s like when she’s angry.” “You married me!” “And I enjoy every day of our bliss, dearest!” She glared at him now.. But Will finally listened. “There’s someone I want to protect. Someone in danger because of this Virus people, and you and him weren’t taking this seriously.” Nathan nodded. “Alright then Kaixa. Yea, Reggie and I joke a lot but that doesn’t mean we don’t take this seriously. And you need to understand that and understand that we’re a team. You go solo again and you’ll get yourself killed.” Will frowned.. but nodded. “I’m part of the team.”
Nathan slowly stood and offered his hand... and when Will accepted Nathan performed the Fourze handshake right up until Allie slapped him across the head. “Dork.” And he just laughed. “And you love me for it.”
