Actually, the first main Rider to die was Black (unless you count Riderman as a main Rider, which I really don't). He got killed fighting Shadow Moon and was actually gone for almost two full episodes before being revived by a friendly kaijin. It's one of the many awesome and epic moments in Black.

I like Ryuki's ending. I think a lot of the plot lines are closed up nicely and you guys have already made all the good points about why the ending works. I do like having some of the other versions of the ending around, but the series one is definitely my favorite (even if it's tragically lacking in Miho).
