Toq-Oh:
+Gets a significant focus in the show in both robot and train form
+Part swapping opportunities with Gaoh
- Looks weird in robot mode to me
- Seems a little redundant with Safari Gaoh being a retool and all.
Diesel-Oh
- Doesn't look great to me in either mode
+Comes with two support Ressha that would work with Safari Gaoh
+Is the basis for the combinations
-But the combinations don't look that great either
Buil-Daioh
+Looks pretty cool in both modes
- Doesn't have any real meaningful cross-play possibility with Safari-Gaoh besides fist-swapping and a longer train.
Police Ressha and some legendary Resshas
+That gun and handcuff combo is pretty sweet
+I also like a lot of past Sentai series
- They don't have a robot mode of their own.
I'd appreciate the opinions of anyone who has these toys already!
Also on an unrelated note is the Claw Ressha with Telebi-kun magazine worth it? Some of my local J-bookstores might still have it but I understand the digger part doesn't work so without the roleplay toys it basically looks to be just a functionless train or a functionless mech fist.
I would recommend ToQOh anytime. I love it so much, and it just looks great in both modes (in my opinion), plus unlike the others, you have five colourful Resshas to go with.
Build DaiOh is cool, but I think you'll need Diesel to go with him. I don't own Diesel and Build is a little bit simple on his own, since he has no combinations with Safari or ToQ.
The cheap option is to get the legendary Resshas, since they're compatible with Safari. I can't vouch though, since I don't own any.
