Class 3(the class you saw) has a curse where the students could die, at anytime, of an unconventional death (ala a Final Destination type death). Anyone related to these students (even the teachers or teacher's assistant) can die too but rarely with family (the chances of a family member dying go up if they find out about the secret of class 3. Also anyone related to the student that has three or more degrees of separation from them, like a distant relative, is safe.) The class also has a "charm" where someone is chosen to "not exist" (in this case, a girl in the class was chosen. But since no one told our main character about the whole thing, the class had to ignore him too because he acknowledged she existed, which added pressure to everyone. Especially the teacher)and when done the chances of any student dying go down (it has a 50%chance of working). The teacher who stabbed himself was under a lot of pressure because a few students (and two people who were related to the students) have died and also the pressure of taking care of his sick mother (which he murdered too). Thus all of this lead to him committing suicide in front of the students.
