I picked up the 1994 yesterday and its pretty good.

The sculpt itself is quite cool and seems to be about 90% accurate to the movie. Unfortunately, the spines are pretty much rubber rather than plastic, which is annoying. Also, I'm not a fan of the way the thighs are cut as it makes the right leg look a tag longer than the left. And then there is the wire breaking through the tail. It also does not help that the tail just seems a little too short. As with a lot a NECA toys, there is some sloppy paint as the bottom corner of his jaw has pink spilled over from his mouth. On the positive side, the face is incredible and looks very accurate to the movie down to even the eyes that look upward. The articulation is great with nice tight joints and I love that the wrists are on a ball rather than a hinge. He does still have that longer toe though. Overall, until Bandai gives us a MonsterArt, this is by far the best posseable 1984 Godzilla we have. It isn't perfect, but the positives far outweigh the negatives and it is pretty identical to the suit we see on screen the majority of the time. If I would change anything on the toy, it would be the friggin tail. This is a prime example of why bendy tails suck.
