Power Rangers RPM.

Here's the issues with both seasons.

Power Rangers S.P.D. Problems
The season starts out strong - you have an incomplete team of 3 who then get 2 forcefully added on and the team has to learn to mesh together. Add in the awesome parts of Doggie Kruger and you have a strong, strong beginning.

Then the Omega Ranger happens. And the awkward attempts at team ups with Power Rangers Dino Thunder. And while there's one or two really shining stories in the middle part of the season, it suffers from "budget shortfall", where it literally feels like they had to make episodes simply to fill a quota.

The end of the season wraps up things you don't see again since the first episode of the season, and adds a major character literally in the 2nd to last episode of the series that unfortunately repeats that pattern in the following seasons (Mystic Force, Jungle Fury ... Operation Overdrive didn't do it surprisingly).

There's some characters in the show that people hate - Summer for being what they call a "Mary Sue" type of character. People hate Ziggy for being awkward and for trying to be funny. They hate Dillon for being the stereotypical badass. Gem and Gemma ... you have to learn to love them and if you haven't seen it you'll understand why when you watch it.

Koichi Sakamoto also discovered shaky cam this season, so every single fight has shaky camera syndrome.

Theme song is weak (so much so that they don't ever use it in Megazord fights).

Some people hate it because it tries to take itself so seriously (a post apocalyptic Earth with Power Rangers).

Frankly, I think people hate on it because it's just popular to hate on something so many people liked. "My opinion will stand out and I will be noticed if I go against the grain" syndrome. I'm sure some dislike it for very valid reasons, but a lot of the "OMG SO OVERRATED" are the same people that feel "Super Megaforce" was awesome because of New Powers and horribly written scripts.
