Well, I don't watch a lot of Gundam series and I have only watched this one and Gundam Battles Fighters and Try and this has been due to my lack of interest in most mecha anime. However G-Reco was actually interesting to me and what hooked me on the first episode, would have to be Belliri and the epicness of the G-Self. I found it had way too much exposition that did nothing to tell us about the world they live in. The animation was horrid with terrible looking designs. They were way too cartoony for a Gundam series. Plus, they were just uninteresting and unlikable right from the get go. They seemed like a group of kids that would die in the first five minutes of a horror movie. I also find the mech designs to be overly complicated they don't even look all that impressive compared to Gundams like Zeta, the Deathscythe, and the Unicorn.
