Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies

This movie was one long ass fight scene with Smaug at one end, and Bilbo's return home at the end. The action was good and it was cool to see everyone come together to fight the orcs. While there is a lot being wrapped up in this movie, not much is going on in terms of the overall plot, just one big ass battle with sides having shifting goals.

I have one major complaint about this movie though. The scene between Bilbo and Gandalf at the end where Gandalf knew Bilbo had the ring. The fuck? Why? WHY? WHYYYYYY? Seriosuly, why did they make Gandalf know and not do anything about it. This entire fucking trilogy they've taken care to have Bilbo be out of sight from everyone when putting on the ring and now he knows? Plus, doesn't that sort of changes Bilbo's characterization a bit. Granted, the ring causes people to do the my precious thing, but it was much more cognicent lying then I remember the ring influencing.
