My little theory about Koda is as follows.

In the popening we see him find his Energem during Caveman times so I´m thinking that hes kinda like Vandal Savage in that the Energem allowed him to live for thousands of years so he witnessed all the technological advancements and thats why he isnt really the fish out of water style character in the show. He was also probably found by Keeper really early and thats why he is already part of the Group.

Other things I thought about with the Caveman thing is how they found a way to keep the essence of the Kyoryuger character without making him a straight up copy of Nossan. Cause since he is a Caveman he is by default the oldest member of the Team.
