Watched Kamen Rider ZO this morning since I felt obligated to after buying the Figuart. It was pretty good, reminded me of Shin a lot in that the visuals are utterly fantastic but the story isn't much to write home about. In fact, the entire first half is pretty much contextless and you just have to go with the flow of it then there's that bizarre musical interlude, and THEN stuff starts getting explained properly.

But yeah, dem costumes/effects. ZO himself is a bit basic (although I like the idea of an entirely organic belt-less Rider) but Doras and co were superb. I can never get enough of stop motion sequences.

Also, am I right in assuming the Bat and Spider monsters were a homage to original Kamen Rider monsters?
