Watching the film again, I feel like I get more disgusted each time. Sure it had incredible effects and some nice directing but it's just, to spend so much time and money to create a hyper violent version of power rangers feels like such wasted potential.

I do like some of the ideas of focusing on child soldiers but what annoys me is that it only stuck as an idea for a brief moment. People have been toting this as what PR should be if it was made for mature audiences but what is mature about it? It's just guns, hyper violence and sex and a weak ass story that has a twist worthy of recent M.Night, this reeks of a sad teenager's efforts to make something cool and edgy.

Even if it was intended as a parody, it has done a shit job of it because apparently for a lot of people unless they've read the interview they could hardly tell it was one.
