So uh yeah, I finally watched this today after forgetting it happened for god knows how long.

It was a weird experience. Enjoyable and interesting even if it felt rather rushed and inconsequential. Sure Kougane appeared in the show but there wasn't much here you needed to know to grasp what was going on there.

As expected the football elements were hilariously shoehorned in (the opening match was neat, but the final battle was just too much). Kamuro and Kurokage Shin are barely worth even mentioning, while Black Jimber Arms was exactly what you'd expect an "evil Kouta" to be.

It did some nice non-football battles though - the army/Yggdrasil battle and Kiwami vs Mars horseback bit especially spring to mind.

So yeah. Gaim's summer movie sure was a thing.
