I personally just am tired of all of these super hyper and happy red rangers. The more serious red's like Takeru and Marvelous were much more memorable. I just can't deal with these shows that have so many toys like Drive, and the show literally has to stop to advertise them. It all feels like the writers can't and don't know how to handle all of these toys, and I'm just tired of that.

Some shows are better at handling this toy thing than others, but when a show just doesn't have enough character to keep itself interesting without having a new toy show up I just drop out. The rest of the show just feels stale at that point.

Now with Sentai we just have the same episodes every year, and that our rangers need to learn about team work. Now granted this is a kids show, but they, the writers can always change up the formula every once in a while. It's one of the reasons I loved Go-Busters. While having some of the same tropes, it was still able to tell a story without relying on toys.
