Why should I have to? I'm not obligated to watch the original if this is exactly the same thing with the filler removed, if anything that's just more reason for me to NOT watch the original.

Fandoms don't grow by only catering to existing fans y'know? Are you saying that the only people who should be watching Crystal are the ones that grew up with the show? That only their opinions matter?
