Why would they not patch in compatibility for god's sake? I get trying to use Mega-evos to sell the new games, but to flat out not have compatibility is stupid.

Question: Do you guys think that main Pokemon games would do DLC? Or do you think annual releases are still the way to go?

It's kind of dumb, but at least they're not cutting compatibility entirely. It sucks that I can't use my Mega Pidgeot or Beedrill against some people, but at least it's not pulling a "Only ORAS can connect to ORAS" kind of BS.
I don't know why they didn't patch in the new models and mega stones, since that seems like it wouldn't be that difficult to do, but I'm not a programmer, so what do I know.

And they have been, to an extent, ever since they started having you download some legendaries to obtain them...
