They try to tie it all up with 001 and Shinnosuke's dad, but it all seems so forced to me. Same with Gou, I don't see how being the puppet for Brain adds anything for his character after he just got a good start with revealing his motives.
I actually liked Drive a lot more when it was silly but had interesting cases. I feel like that's the problem: They tightened up the plot so fast instead of having a smooth curve and now I don't even bother anymore. I liked the charm of the show at the beginning, then it got boring and silly, now it's starting to get interesting but I'm still stuck.
If they do have a nice conclusion it could help me like this show as a whole, but if the end is as weak as I expect it to be I'll file this case under “Mixed Bag”.
I would partially agree with the assessment that while drive has been good at the current moment due to variety of things that have been going on the show it can be considered a mixed bag, it is consistently being a show which has really good points to it also consistently has problems in most episodes especially the episodes during mach debut and ending with the Judge arc which was the weakest sequence of the show in my opinion while it has been getting better it still has a lot of problems with the first twelve episodes being the best and the most recents episodes past the roidmude kyu also being good but sort of rushing plot points like Gou and Shinnosuke's daddy issues.
Chase is still the best part of the show.
