None of that is a good thing. If you're going to make a crossover, then make an actual crossover. If half of the movie doesn't matter to the other half or the movie as a whole, then they probably shouldn't be the same movie.

I've given this a little thought and this movie could easily be fixed. Have Lupin already part of the MegaHex from the beginning. Then have Drive's segment be about Lupin stealing a McGuffin for the MegaHex to use in the end game. And just like that, the Drive segment is now important to the overall story of the movie. As it stands, Drive's segment has no bearing on the movie as a whole.

Personally, I would split them into different movies, but this is the easiest way to fix it without doing that.
