You will never get another "super serious" season like RPM while Saban Brands holds the rights.

The reason is simple - when Eddie G was given Power Rangers RPM, he was literally told "Do whatever you want - nothing short of a miracle is going to save this show". So he did. And then he was fired for a variety of reasons.

Saban Brands did what Disney would not - turned the franchise back in to a global brand while Disney let it flounder in to nothingness. Saban Brands will never let the show take such a gritty turn again - there has to be light-heartedness, lessons learned, etc. Maybe an episode or two that are "dark" or "gritty", but not the entire series.
