I'm really just being funny. I would agree that there's a lot of other characters, but there has been a very West meets East emphasis in this series, so I guess it just continues. What works so well is how they've inserted the subtle details of Westernization.

I don't know. I mean, sure, writing wise, Starninger is supposed to be from Texas, but I just don't buy it. He doesn't pull off being an American believably like Jaraiya did in Kaku. At least Mach was just stationed in the US and is not actually from there, but Star, nope, they aren't even trying to make it seem legitimate.
