I think some people refuse to admit that Dragon Ball is a franchise for kids. The show airs on Sunday morning like around 8 AM. It has the same age demographic as other shows in Japan like Kamen Rider, Yu-Gi-Oh, Super Sentai and Doraemon. The original DB and DBZ got away with more violence because it air on a different time slot back in the 80's and 90's from what I can remember. Even back then, the show was still made for kids to watch.

I don't care if I watch a show made for kids. I would watch something like Steven Universe over crap like Mr. Pickles.
