that's how it happened. and i guess it is meant to establish that Ryou first became Gills at around the time he was hospitalized, as if his own seed awakened to heal him.

and the tapestry doesn't technically have Kuuga, it's one of Agito's forms, you can also see G3 in that same image too.

Ah, thanks. Not too satisfied with that explanation for Gills, but it works. Never saw G3 in the tapestry. Bit disappointed that weren't many Kuuga references in Agito. It's supposed to be the sequel, correct? Would have been nice if Ichijou had a cameo at the end.
