After a brief hiatus, Kuuga 36.
So Sawatori takes a more active approach, going directly to the ruins to research things more closely. Additionally, scientist lady (Who seems to never want to interact with her son) wants to research how the Grongi's weapons operate, since they seem to transform in some manner similar to Kuuga's alternate forms.

In the meanwhile, the bat grongi seems to start his own game up and gains a power boost, making him more of a threat. However, rather than go kill, he targets another Grongi first. It's the (I have no idea what animal this is) Grongi, who has recently been going around murdering taxi drivers by melting them into acid. Brutal.
