As for the series proper, I did warm up to the humans becoming Digimon thing, but I never felt that previous series had humans relying on Digimon. Oh I agree that it's more symbolic than that and perhaps relying on them isn't the proper way to explain it. I was just happy to see the humans grasp the power and be the heroes. It had a very toku feel in that aspect. Maybe that's why I liked Frontier so much actually?

And my god I would kill for Frontier D-Arts. I will buy as many other mediocre releases as I need to, to keep that line going, to get to Frontier.
