I also recommend 00 by default. 00 is great. It has great action, a tightly-knit fast-paced story, cool characters and MSes, along with a great world. It's my favorite Gundam series and my favorite anime, so take my recommendation with a grain of salt. In order to watch these, however, you're either gonna have to find some old DVDs, or go find it online somewhere. I rented the series and movie from my library so maybe check there?
