Honestly, I think a lot of people's problems with the prequels was that what they saw didn't fit their imagintion. It's kind of like a problem with casting movies based on books, where a lot of it is based on your imagination, except everyone generally imagined Darth Vader to have a badass personality with variations within that and Lucas throwing a curveball.

Thats actually not why myself and so much more people dislike the prequels. We dislike them because they are a boring and just not well acted mess.
