Well Matt did point that out, however his doubts don't actually feel that out of place, the SkullGreymon incident means he knows better than anyone how dangerous their fights can get, and the 02 epilogue shows him as a politician, so this is probably the first stepping stone in him finding more ways to be brave and stand for his beliefs besides violence.

It's one thing to not know that they're missing yet, it's only been a few days, but to not call them for the get together meeting or wonder why they haven't shown up for the fight is surprisingly dick-ish of the main 8. What the hell?

Unless Alphamon erased memory of them when he defeats someone, why does no one think "Hey, you know those two who beat Armageddemon?! Might be useful here, don't you think?"

It's one thing if you, the fans, don't like the characters, that's fine. To each his own. But the Zero 2 cast are these guys friends, and for them to not bring them up makes them seem more like jerks than I remember. I don't have to like Yamacha to recognize that Goku forgetting about him is a dick move.
