I feel Star Trek is a kids show, and it's always seemed that way. I never really got a family show vibe from it until the Next Generation started.

Every discussion is an argument when the only reasoning is "Is not" (By others) and "Is too" (By me).
It was the 60's, not a 70's era cartoon where the only conflict was basically someone wearing a bedsheet and acting like a ghost. So in retrospect, yes, it was more mature considering how dumbed down children's content became during the oncoming decade's gigantic sweep of censorship and parental influence. But I, personally, never saw Star Trek as anything more than a kid's show that attracted an older audience.

And it's never okay to be incorrect.
