For YEARS I have always wanted an insect themed sentai. Bugs are freaking awesome! The tech aspect is good because it allows for the insects to be different colors from their more natural colors. The story could be a great learning thing for kids and be a new twist on how small wonders in nature could be a force for good.

Story: The Earth has been invaded by a legion of intergalactic scientists, the XtermiNation, who see Earth as a giant experiment that they can play around with to study the human population The X-Nation take animals on earth and inject them with cells that transform them into monsters that attack innocent people. All birds, mammals, fish, reptiles, and amphibians are injected with these cells, called Oni, and turned into OniVore, forcing humans to live in isolated societies with a finite number of animals that haven't been hit with the Oni. To fight back, a underdog team of scientists learn the X-Nation do not have the capability to inject insects with Oni, as they are too small and fragile for the cells. The scientists devise a method of using insect DNA to counteract the Oni cells in OniVore monsters and must keep their operation secret until the time is right. While they collect insect samples from different parts of the world and develop a cure, three of the scientists elect to battle the X-Nation by combining insect DNA and technology to create weapons to defend earth from the OniVore. Together they are....

Name: Konchu Sentai Murenger

Main Three:

Red: KonchuRed- Praying Mantis. Mantis are fierce predatory creatures but also stealthy. His special ability would be invisibility/stealth. Weapons would be dual blades, reminiscent of the mantis. His super mode could be like a thorny mantis mode or super stealth mode. He is the bold leader and master strategist.

Weapon: Kamikiri Katana

Blue: KonchuBlue - Dragonfly. Dragonflies are extremely fast but very calm. This ranger would be a she. Her special ability could be super speed and flight. Her weapon is a bo staff, cause its long like a dragonfly abdomen. She is the voice of reason and is very shy.

Weapon: TonBo Staff (pun inside)

Yellow: KonchuYellow - Hornet. Hornets are crazy aggressive. Think hot head of the group. This one is a he. Special ability would be self replication. He makes copies of himself that have a hive mind and can function as a swarm. His weapon would be wasp themed gun. It shoots stinger-like bullets that paralyze OniVore, so they can extract the Oni cells.

Weapon: Suzume-Bullet

Morphers: KonchuCell: a cell phone that can load different insect DNA and gives the sentai team an ExoSkeleton which becomes their armor.

All three can walk on walls, fly, have super vision, etc.

Auxiliary Rangers: These two are former scientists of Earth who were captured and experimented on by the X-Nation. They were intially tasked with giving the X-Nation a way of transferring Oni cells to insects, but when they refused, they were tortured. They are soon rescued by the other three Murengers, and join the team.

White: KonchuLight - Butterfly She is some kind of white colored butterfly. Graceful, protective and powerful. She has the ability to heal others, including herself. Weapon is a shield.

Black: KonchuNight - Moth. He is quiet but powerful and smart. His ability is imitating the look of others, much like a moth camouflage. His weapon is a greatsword.

Sixth Ranger: a lone scientist and recluse, who decided to test spiders on his quest for a cure for the Oni cells, but accidentally creates a spider oni using he cells of a dead OniVore. He creates 4 different kinds based on 4 different spiders and gets them to work for him to fight other OniVores and continue to gather samples for his work. The spiders OniVores eventually become this ranger's mecha.

Gold: KomoGorudo - Spider Hunter: This ranger would always feel different than the others, both his personality and his animal theme. He is a loner, but a strong fighter. Ability would be temporarily freezing others in time/space, the same way spiders trap their prey. He has different spiders under his command: trap door spider, orb weaver, bolas spider, and jumping spider.

Weapon: Bladed Chain Weapon

Centipede= is it's own gattai, can grow multiple arms and perform a multi arm finishing attack
