My ex thought it was cool when I started watching Zyuranger (due to nostalgia, but she didn't understand why I watched it in Japanese instead of English) but started making fun of me for it shortly after. Once I got into Rider though, she started to take an interest in the two series and could at least appreciate them, even if she didn't enjoy it. (I think she preferred Rider though, since it came off as more mature and wasn't Power Rangers)

Like Suzu said we both dated for a while and so yeah I have expeirence dating someone who is into tokusatsu. But I also had girlfriends who werent into that thing. We had other interests we could share together so it wasnt a problem though. If your partner is mature enough and loves you for who you are he or she will tolerate the things you like even though they themself might not. When they start being an ass about it, then it gets troublesome.
But from my experience that rarely ever happenes. Cant speak for others though.
