Wow. So much Haruka hate in here. I personally love the character, way more than Jin.

Being subdued and obedient is part of his character, it's actually been addressed. I think as time goes on he'll start to question the woman he calls mother. But for now, she's the only one (with maybe the exception of Jin) who knows what's going on with him. I see him playing the obeying puppy until he learns the truth and then shit will inevitably go down.
