[Tokumonkey]

Two episodes in, and I still don't believe in Amazon, yet. They could've condensed the first two down to one episode without losing anything. I don't care about any of the characters, and after two episodes, that's a problem. The show seems like very much a style exercise. There's a lot of darkness for the sake of darkness. I'm confounded by the monster designs; they just don't seem to match the tone the show is going for.

I can enjoy dark television, but the writing has to make me care. I really want this show to get better. So far, I like the idea of the show significantly more than its execution.
