There is literally zero joy in watching CGI figures use martial arts. The whole beauty of martial arts is that real people are performing seemingly impossible physical movements. That is all stripped away when the figures are made out of liquid pixels.

I was really hoping this movie would make me like Power Rangers for the first time since I was in elementary school, but it's looking increasingly like that won't happen.

Yeah, I think that's the vibe that's really turning me off of the movie. It seems they're taking out all the charm that makes people like the franchise to begin with, and trying way to hard to inject some watered down Hollywood formula to reach an audience that will never watch the movie.
