One of the ambitions with the line is "Every ranger ever."
So Alien Rangers are gonna be made if the line succeeds.
It's why the Thunder Megazord is in a bit of a weird spot, as it's the only "Main" megazord whose team uses the old suits.

Also, while the Shogun Megazord was in use by the time the Alien Rangers arrived, the Ninja Megazord was the primary for that season.
