The Returned Emotion

Tomorrow by noon? Would’ve helped if that Kengo’d told him where exactly. Maybe where he first fell through? That’d be his Café.. Oh God, The Café! Nathan slapped his forehead, and slumped himself against whatever was nearby. Which happened to be one of those glass-enclosed bus stops. Better then dropping on a person like last time.
But God his Café. Nathan folded his arms and could only shake his head. He loved that damned place, he did. And now it looked like a tornado went through the dining room.. Or a strangely dressed man fell out of the freaking sky. And now.. There was an explosion?!
Nathan pushed himself off the stop, frantically looking to where.. “Well. That large column of smoke might be a clue, huh?” He didn’t know why. He was still wearing his Chef’s jacket, and hadn’t slept since Gentaro dropped onto one of his tables. But he was running towards the explosions. He also didn’t know why he was already reaching for his backpack. Like he knew he needed the Decade Driver.. Hopefully, one day, something about any of this’ll make some kind of sense!
Until then.. Nathan slapped the Driver onto his waist, watching in amazement as again the belt just formed around his waist. Sliding the Decade Card into place on the run. “Henshin!” He’d have asked what Henshin meant, but he was already slapping the Decade Driver closed. KAMEN RIDE… DECADE!
How come when there was an emergency there was always people standing around gawking? Okay, so they were gawking at him now and not the fire. But in their defense he was the strange man with cards through his head wearing purple and black armor. He had to have a water form, right? Opening the Ride Booker the card for OOO near jumped right into his hand. “Guess that answers that question.. Let’s see what you do.”
Snapping the Booker closed, Nathan took a deep breath, and inserted the Hawk Headed Rider into the Driver. KAMEN RIDE… OOO! TATOBA TATOBA TATOBA! This was new! Opening the Booker, hoping to find an attack card, what he found were medals. Different colored medals! Well, they did match the ones on his belt. And blue seemed like they’d be water.. Out with the old medals, in with the new.. “Guess I just use this now..” One swipe of the Scanner, and more chimes rang out through the crowds gathered!
SHASHASHAUTA! SHASHASHAUTA! Decade roared! It felt incredible! Like.. He was suddenly so much more powerful! Right, the burning building! “Well, I certainly look watery.. I wonder what these WHATTHEHELL?!” Decade OOO stumbled back beneath the power of the strong jets of water shooting from his hands. Oh Decade was chuckling now! Splashing the water across the flames licking the bricks of the ruined structure, turning the thick smoke pouring out the windows into a clean white.
The scream didn’t sound good though. It was coming from somewhere inside, and he couldn’t see anything. There had to be an OOO form that could help! Reaching for the Booker, while Nathan frantically searched each medal, three of them began glowing brightly. Only took a second and Decade was already rushing into the building. The blue medals slipped out and in their places three shining red medals! A quick scan.. TAAAAJAAAADOOOOR!
Wings spread wide Decade’s eyes began glowing brilliant red. Scanning the darkness, amplifying the light as much as his new powers allowed.. “There!” Bringing his hands close to his chest Decade spread them out at his sides, creating large wings behind him. Allowing him to soar through the ruined supermarket until he burst through the rubble of the back wall, sending ash and fallen beams splintering off behind him.
.. And what he saw brought him to a dead stop. It was another Rider! A weird one. Looked like two Rider’s stick together with one side a bright red, and the other a brilliant silver. “Your one of the ones he warned me about.. Give me your belt, you don’t know what’s going on!” His answer came from the Rider’s staff. Swung out, sending fire from the leading edge hurtling towards Decade. But his wings saved him. Wrapping about him, blacking the blast, and deflecting the flames harmless on either side of him. “Yea.. Didn’t think you’d that easy.”
Standing with his legs pressed together Decade created stunningly beautiful peacock feathers behind him. And with simple waves of his hands sent them each flying off towards the stolen Heat Metal W. And then watched as each flaming feather was absorbed! He needed a new form quick! The scream he heard though.. “Samantha?!” She looked hurt.. What the hell was she doing here?! Last he heard she was in American working at some big News Agency! Spreading his wings Decade dodged the onslaught of fire best he could until his arms could scoop her up and help her onto a nearby rooftop. Far out of danger. She was breathing.. Brushing aside some of her long blonde hair he could see why she wasn’t conscious.. That gash across her forehead..
.. He hurt Samantha. Worse than that he almost burned down an entire city block! Samantha.. Slamming his hands into the rooftop concrete Decade formed himself up. He was so angry he was trembling, so angry he never noticed the Booker opening on it’s own. The Purple Medals ripping themselves free from inside and landing in his palm. Throwing out the Red Ones, which all landed perfect back inside the Booker, and slamming back inside the new set..
A single scan and power surged through him. The Medal Breakers feeding off his anger, forcing a furious roar from the changed OOO Decade! PU TO TYRANNO! The roar sent shockwaves of surging energy off the rooftop, knocking back even W down below. And worse when OOO Decade struck the ground. Slowly standing, not even so much as acknowledging the charging Cyclone Joker until his hand lashed out. Gripping W’s hand in his own, crushing it with the sheer power of the new combination!
One firm kick sent Cyclone Joker hurtling backward when his hand was freed. Sending him brutally into the wall behind, leaving a nicely sized crater where he impacted. “This couldn’t have been some random attack.. You didn’t just choose a woman I know at random! Who are you?!” W just chuckled. Pushing himself free of the rubble and charging for another assault.
But Decade was ready. Spinning himself around his thick tail struck W in the chest sending him right back hurtling into the same crater he just left. And Decade slammed down his feet. Anchoring himself so when his wings formed they could flap and he’d stay still. Sending pounding wave after wave into W, forcing him deeper into that hole his body created.
Until finally the pain caught up and W screamed. But Decade was to far gone.. Until from above a woman weakly called out. “No Nathan! Don’t…” Coughing through her pain, she reached for her she feared was her dearest friend since childhood. “You’re better than that…”
Her voice broke through. The Medals wanted him dead! Wanted him broken, and bloody, and beaten down like an old dog… Pulling the OOO card free. Decade once more became himself. But he knew he couldn’t leave the W Driver itself survive. Gripping the Booker, Decade changed into it’s gun form and took aim. “Attack Ride.” Seven cards made of pure light formed between them. And when Decade shot that large ball of energy became smaller through each one. More focused, more powerful, until finally the supersonic blast blew through the Driver. Shattering the device.. And saving atleast one world from collapse.
But.. He knew him! It was one of the men who worked for the Hyuga’s security team! The Hyuga his Father owned.. How did he end up with a Rider Driver? Right, Samantha? Changing back Nathan rushed up the stairs, damn near collapsing when he saw Sam was alright. “Nathan.. I missed a lot didn’t I?" Nathan just chuckled. “Kinda, Sam..”
