[Switchblade]

Episode 8.1: Like last week, I'm conflicted. I really like Shiguto, he's one of my favorite minor characters in the whole franchise and this episode really did a nice job of highlighting him and how fun and charming he can be. That said, it's a basic stock plot that was entirely predictable and honestly quite boring. I really want Shiguto's jacket now, though.

Episode 8.2: In which Switchblade realizes how poorly he remembers Makai no Hana's main plot (although, to be fair, there's not much of it to remember). Crow actually came off pretty well here. I feel like I got a better sense of the character in ~12 minutes than I did in the entirety of MnH. The action was even pretty good here. The fact that I barely remembered anything about Eiji (like that he existed, for example) made this one pretty hard to follow, though. I may need to rewatch Makai no Hana and then revisit this episode.
