My only other exposure to Voltron was to Voltron Force form a few years ago. I really enjoyed it and the way Voltron functioned. Then when I heard they were making a new show I didn't really care all that much. Then when I found out that its made by the same people who did Korra and Last Airbender I became interested. Then I decided to check it out and really enjoyed it.

The show itself really carries on the feel of Korra and the animation looked really good. The stand out moment for the animation to me is when the castle goes by the sun. Its just looked so beautiful. I really hope that this season does well enough to warrant a season two because on the cliff hanger that this show ended on I need to see more.

Overall I really enjoyed this show. It carries a feel of two shows that I really love while telling an original story. Its great and exactly what I expect out of that creative team.
