The Lost Emotion

“I know we’re gonna be buds!” Well, Nathan was dumbfounded. Gentaro had been released from the Hospital the morning after Decade’s encounter with Fake W. And the second he walks in the door he sticks his fist out, declares himself, and wants to do some weird handshake. Thing. Well, Nathan could use an ally in this weird Rider Mess. Sticking his hand out Gentaro clasped it, performing the vaunted Rider Club handshake!

And somewhere in another world Yuuki is yelling in delight.

Samantha though was still confused. Wouldn’t you be? Least she was alright from the assault. She had a head gash, but a few stitches and she was fine again. Now she was leaning against Nathan’s desk, lost in thought with her arms folded against the sweater she wore. She always wore sweaters. In fact, Nathan couldn’t remember the last time he saw her without a turtleneck. Even in the middle of summer.
Yes, by the way. They used to date. In high school but, like all relationships in high school, it ended. Nathan went off to become a cook and open the Bluebird, and Samantha went off to become a reporter. Thankfully though her question broke him out of those old memories. “So.. Gentaro? Can you explain exactly why I was attacked by a man in a bug-eyed costume, and how Nathan is able to.. Do whatever the hell it is he’s doing?”
Nathan Kinda wanted an answer to that too. “Yes! In my world there’s heroes, The Kamen Riders! They protect people, fight evil, like super heroes. Two of my friends, Miu and Tomoko, helped open a Museum dedicated to them. Well.. Someone broke in from this world using Cosmic Energy. The same which let’s me become Fourze.” See, Kengo? Gentaro paid attention.. Sometimes. “He tried stealing the belts, I stopped him, but we both were thrown back here. The belts were scattered, I think.”
“Do you know who stole them?” Nathan doubted it, but they could always hope. Samantha had the same question, giving an approving nod. God it was like they were dating again.
“Yes! Kamen Rider DiEnd!. The DiEnd Driver is from the same era as your belt, Nathan.” Stolen by another thief.
Nathan pushed himself off the wall where he was leaning, and nodded. Tossing Gentaro his Fourze Driver.” Kept that safe for you. Now come on.. We’ve got to get you home. Kengo said you only have one chance, and it’s in an hour.”

The Three of them stood in what was left of Nathan’s precious Bluebird. Oh, the damage was that bad. He’d have to replace some tables and chairs. Fix the floor where Fourze landed and maybe pay off the neighbors for all the noise. But it’d survive this. “So what do we do?”
Gentaro just grinned at Nathan and slapped the Driver onto the belt around his waist. Samantha stood back, beside Nathan which was nice, as both watched him slapping down the red switches on the Fourze Driver and strike an odd pose..

3.… 2... 1.. HENSHIN!

Throwing his arm into the air Gentaro was bathed in light, and appeared again as the space-themed Kamen Rider. Samantha looked impressed. Nathan thought the rocket-helmet was a bit much.. No, thank you. He’ll be sticking with Decade. “Stand back.” Both did as Fourze took out what had to be the largest switch he’s ever seen and slapped it into the first socket. COSMIC! Nathan took Sam’s arm, guiding her back, having the feeling this was going to be big. And sure enough.. COSMIC ON! Fourze erupted in light again! Becoming blue, with a touch panel on his chest numbered to forty.
Taking the switch from his belt, he slapped it into his … Was that sword shaped like a Saturn V rocket? Now Nathan knew Gentaro was insane. But it worked. Gentaro thrust the sword up into the roof, and Nathan thought pierced it.. But it didn’t. It opened the portal right above them!
“Good luck, Buds!” And like that Fourze was swept up in the cosmic energy, throwing both the onlookers into the nearby tables. Before being pulled through the vortex… and gone. Nathan pushed himself up off the ground and offered his hand towards Sam, who gratefully accepted the help. She was still a little woozy from her head. She still wasn’t entirely sure she didn’t just hallucinate all of that!
“… Do you know why W might’ve attacked you?” He worried because she knew him, and someone knew he was Decade. Doesn’t have hero have that worry? Nathan waited on her answer, and went into the kitchen. Least the coffee maker still worked.
Samantha followed and leaned herself against the nearby counter for support, least until the room stopped spinning. “That.. Kamen Rider.. Thing kidnapped me soon as I got out of the Taxi outside what was left of your Café. I already knew about Hyuga’s Meta Program. Trying to build the perfect soldier..” With those Riderbelt things? Looks like he might’ve succeeded. “Nathan, I know he’s your Father..”

“Adoptive Father.” That came out quick, didn’t it?

Samantha could only nod. “Right.. He’s into some dirty things. Funding Militias around the world, Bio-Weaponry, there’s rumors he even staffed half of the police force in this state with soldiers from his private security firm. .. And from what that Gentaro said? Sounds like he sent whover stole that DiEnd thing.”
Couldn’t argue there. Besides.. “That man who attacked you? When I destroyed his Driver I saw his face before he escaped. He.. He works for Hyuga. Part of his private Security Force. I didn’t want to believe it, but.” No, he believed it. He just didn’t want to be involved. Before this he was perfectly happy spending his days cooking meals inside his kitchen and serving people.
“What’s that…?” Nathan didn’t hear her. He was to lost in feeling sorry for himself to. What he heard next though? That kind of grabbed his attention.
