For Kamen Rider, I remember watching a few episodes of Masked Rider on Fox Kids. I remember liking it, but not as much as Power Rangers. As a five-year old, I always thought the design for Black RX looked really cool. I already grew up with Godzilla and re-runs of Ultraman, so I was into toku. One of my favorite things as a kid growing up in the 90's was going to Japanese collector shops and I would always look around the shop seeing all the cool toys.

I remember in that collectors shop in the Owings Mills Mall in Maryland sometime back in 1996 had Five Riders vs. King Dark and Kamen Rider ZO playing on a TV screen. It was a fan subbed VHS copy and I remember how cool those riders look. So growing up, I always knew what Kamen Rider was but I hardly knew anything about it. So in 2009, I watch the first two episodes of Kabuto subbed on Youtube and I could not get into it.

So in 2012, I decided to watch W and that got me hook into Kamen Rider. After I finish W, I watch OOO and Fourze when Fourze was still airing in Japan. I end up getting S.H Figuarts of Stronger and Shin Ichigo as Christmas gifts that year.

For Super Sentai, I remember seeing toys of Super Sentai at Japanese collector shops in the 90's and I was like "Oh cool, Power Rangers is a thing in Japan". In 2002, I remember my friend had a VHS copy of Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai. I remember being confused on what the hell was going on but I thought it was cool. In 2004, I remember going on the Wikipedia reading about Super Sentai after that one episode of Super Sentai that they did. At the time, I didn't know how to watch fan subs for them and I didn't watch fan subs for Super Sentai until 2012 when I was becoming a fan of Kamen Rider. My first real Super Sentai was Gokaiger and been a fan since then.
