What I meant by my original post was that seeing as he didn't look like Alpha or Omega. (or has a belt for that matter) That he was nothing special and only serves as a plot device. Therefor being nothing more then a expendable character. Then when I and my fellow forum member had a discussion on me attaching that label to that character. I merely informed him that all of the characters are expendable actually. That at any point in time anybody can get killed off. (except for the main riders who if are destined for death, won't occur until around the last couple of episodes)

Yeah, Sigma did look like the main two Amazons. But Sigma was a bad guy and they always get killed anyway. So that's no surprise there.

Now especially seeing how Mamoru didn't return to the team after that heart felt reassembly of them in his honor. They didn't kill him off this season. Seems like the writers still have some more use for him.
