There's been one in the works for quite a while, now. I think I mentioned it on this thread once a few years back.

Well, I care about it simply because when it's included, I think it's cool. And when it's written well (e.g. Ms. Marvel), my enjoyment of the comic increases because the stories have a greater sense of veracity. It feels like a reflection of my world if my world had superheroes.

I will grant you that Johns defined Hal for the modern age. And his Green Lantern work was undeniably successful and influential. But I think he relies to much on nostalgia in his work. It works for Superman, but not so much for the Flash or Green Lantern.
