It's funny because that's the same melodramatic way I would put my experience with Gaim.

The thing I hated most about it was the fact that I hated it. I love Kamen Rider and even when I make fun of something like The Next or Kabuto or whatever it's more playful than anything, so Gaim is the singular Kamen Rider that I've ever felt genuinely cynical about. It basically ruined the sort of zen I had going with the franchise and I resented it for that above all else.

It's just so weird because, especially in light of Ghost, I've sort of been preaching how if you get too caught up in not liking something it stops mattering how good it even is, but I didn't realize how accurate I was with that. There was a period where every little thing in Gaim bothered me so much and even though I still understand how those things could be called flaws I just sort of can't get worked up about it anymore. It's kind of nice.
