I actually like the sound of Amazons too but I feel like the first 40 minutes of episode 1 are kind of a bore so I don't know if it's worth it.

I guess Ryuki would be cool but with stuff like wonky CG giant spiders in the first episode I might disagree that it's aged well.

Excuse me but, that wonky CG has gone past "dated" and entered the "charming" phase, sir! (see also: 70's Dr. Who's cheesy effects)
