All that said, I still don't get the vitriol with which much of fandom has responded to Ghost. Even with all the above flaws taken into account, I don't think it's a bad show. I'd love to hear why you guys dislike it so much (without spoiling the last handful of episodes, obviously).
You know, I can sort of relate with Ninninger, although for me it was more like I loved it at first, was meh on it in the middle (i.e. like eps. 20-35ish), and then ended up liking it by the end.
With Ghost, on the other hand, I went from loving it to just liking it to friggin'
loving it
, thanks to everybody here. I'm a little too close to it at this point to be objective but I really don't think it's any worse than just "mediocre". On a more personal level, I think it's
great
, and I disagree with a lot of your complaints.
Ghost ended up clicking with me on a really deep level and I think it's a show that, for how kiddy it looks, really rewards putting some thought into it. It's a surprisingly layered show, all things considered.

Okay, 555 and Kabuto yeah but Wizard's last stretch is, at worst, still Wizard. Certainly not a huge downgrade. I still love the climax with
Wizard actually punching somebody for the first and only time, in extremely memorable fashion.
Also I love pretty much everything else in Wizard.

Oh geez, the "Haruto should've not saved somebody!" complaints. It's like I'm right there in 2013 again. Ah,
memories

How much have you even watched of it? You could argue the long-term quality but I feel Ghost very distinctly picks up steam early on. Like most Rider shows, it takes the cast a bit to get comfortable in the roles, and for the show to find its overall groove.

Also, I refuse to set aside the nostalgia goggles I don't have because I grew up watching Time Force and other not s*** PR shows at the same time I watched reruns of the older stuff.
MMPR is an
amazingly
written show, if you'll allow me to be cynical for a second. It's perfectly, purposely geared to exploit children in exactly the ways you're talking about. That may be kind of horrible but honestly it's kind of impressive too. It's basically THE "strictly formula" kids' show.
No but really, I'm actually pretty fond of early MMPR. I think it's a lot of goofy fun with occasional hints of actually trying
(Green With Evil is great)
