My sentiments exactly. Nendoroid’s are fine and all, but for one I hate the style and two I don’t think the puppets are well represented by it. In fact I had to wonder longer than I'm comfortable to admit if the Lǐn Xuě Yā Nendoroid really is the Enigmatic Gale from the show or if I'm just imagining things.

Figures reminiscent of the actual puppets would be awesome though, if they could make figma's which actually look like the puppets that would be ideal.

But I think you’re right, unless a company who works with such things gets their hands on the license it won’t happen. In fact if GSC continues making Thunderbolt Fantasy figures I’m pretty sure they will be either cutesy stuff or figures based on the manga version of the show. Which looks absolutely horrible IMO.
