Well, yeah, but that's not really what my point was. My point was, ultimately, that new and different are not new and different concepts to PR/Super Sentai, so you can't hide this behind that fact as if it protects it from scrutiny.

But yes, it is ultimately SS that's come up with the new designs. (leaving PR at the mercy of whatever goofy gimmick they come up with, whether it translates to Western audiences or not )

This is where context is a very important thing. You just ran off a huge rant on me without realising that that I only "criticised" the use of old concepts in response to someone saying that this was supposed to be a new take of PR. I then gave examples all all the things that aren't new. I was not saying at all that referencing MMPR was a bad thing, but that you then can't say this is a totally new iteration of PR if it takes so much from MMPR specifically.
