I think another part of the problem is that I've seen several of Yasuko Kobayashi's subsequent Sentai series, and I feel like she's executed what she's attempting to do in Gingaman better in those series. Which makes sense, considering that this is her first at-bat as head writer.

I'm still not quite sure how I'll move forward... but I've downloaded all of Gekiranger just in case.
