the reason why the zords arent a unified theme is because the designers wanted to do a small tribute to past zords. to me this is the most bozarre yet unique looking mecha weve gotten in a whilealong with zyuohgers mecha. and that hella leg articulation on shurikenjin... literally almost all sentai designs and DX toys have wierd proportions. nothing new here. and i dont recall a modern sentai with "gigantic helmets" other than possibly shinken oh or gokai oh. "generic faces"???. Gobuster ohs mecha stands out. Shurikenjins stands out. Recent mechas arent perfect, but im glad the latest 2 seasons are pushing the designs to something creative. you know howd boring itd be if every sentai mecha tried to do what the power animals did??
