Exactly. It's effort, but completely misguided effort. Kind of like a lot of the problems with, say, Megaforce. There is effort in that series, but in all the wrong places, like making sure they exactly replicated the sets from the Sentai for the new footage... and then doing stupid things like having Pre-Zyu suits with no explanation and ONLY swapping out Akaranger for the MMPR Red, while leaving the rest of the Pre-Zyu suits intact, in the completely NEW footage that they had to film just to do that...

It's not lazy, it's stupid and misguided, and, mark my words, this movie bombs, it'll be due to them wasting their efforts on pointless crap.

Although... after the zords, this design isn't so bad. It has all the basic parts it needs to resemble what it's supposed. Is it perfect, or even good... no, but it at least passes muster, IMO. It's butt ugly, but you can at least see where the notes were made. Short, red and has a disk for a head... I'll give it C... minus... but still a pass.

Suits>Alpha>Zords, when it comes to looking right.
