After putting it off for ages, I finally got around to buying the Dairanger DVDs released by Shout and, after finishing the 2nd disc, I've got to say that I'm really enjoying the show. I'm not all that surprised by this though. The 90s is my favorite era of Sentai.

I've got to say though, its unbelievably jarring to watch this show, or just about any Sentai from before Ohranger or so, one moment then go watch something from the modern era like Zyuohger: The different tone, the greater quantity of out-of-suit fights, some of them actually, Gasp!, wait before introducing the Mecha. It practically gives me whiplash.
