How is that sad? Carranger isn't a "joke series," it's a comedy series written by one of the most accomplished Japanese comedy writers of the time.

Where did this notion come from that if a show is comedic, it's automatically vapid and facile? Like, is no one familiar with comedy writing at all? The best comedies have more heart than any drama.
